My goal is to make complicated, controversial topics easier to understand using compassionate but realistic analysis. I’ve a reputation for being fair. I always try and see a subject from both sides, though I have some strong opinions, too.

I have been writing for over 25 years. I was a national newspaper journalist for five years before my conversion to Christianity, which you can read about here. Since then, I have worked on the ground in a wide range of caring roles - for the NHS, a state school, and some brilliant mission and church social action projects, at the same time as writing for the Christian press in the UK. I think all this variety has given me a unique and practical perspective.

I recently returned to my laptop full-time. I’ll be sending a free weekly email that highlights my published work, as well as other bits and bobs I pick up along the way. This will include some brief book reviews as I’m a voracious reader.

Longer term, and if there are enough paid subscribers, I will write some articles for this outlet alone. Let me know what kind of journalism you value and any subjects that you want investigated.

Enjoy!

The scales fell off my eyes, everything came to life, and I write about it. Journalism from a Christian perspective. I'll link to my published work via free weekly posts, and add some interesting tidbits that I find along the way.
