Being a writer in our technology-addled world…
… is a strange existence, and this platform is one way to make it a little bit easier. I started my adult life as a journalist, but left mainstream newspapers in 2005, just before the internet started to radically transform the industry. Then I came to faith, and my interests and motivations changed. For the past fifteen years, I have combined writing occasional articles with Christian work of various forms, which has given me some amazing and fascinating experiences that I’m very grateful for.
Now I’m back at the typewriter full time (almost). There is a lot to write about, especially from a faith point of view. I hope to maintain my reputation of creating thoughtful, fair and challenging articles that help the reader to understand complex issues and to reflect on them. Your support on this platform will help me to achieve this goal.
I plan to send a free weekly newsletter with recent published articles, instead of using my wordpress site. If the Substack subscriber base grows, I’ll start to write some articles exclusively for this platform. Let me know what you’re interested in reading, and what you think of my work.
